Kapil Dev Regmi is a Nepali educationist and social entrepreneur known for founding Kathmandu Don Bosco School and College, Kanjirowa National School, and Engineers Without Borders (EWB) Nepal.[1]
Early Life and Education
editKapil Dev Regmi was born in Syangja, Nepal. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from Shanker Dev Campus and later completed an MBA and an MPhil in Educational Leadership from Kathmandu University.[2]
Career
editEducational Institutions
editIn 1998, Regmi founded Kathmandu Don Bosco School and College, an institution focused on quality education in Nepal.[3] In 2008, he established Kanjirowa National School, which integrates Nepali cultural values with global educational standards. As Chairman of the Advanced College of Engineering and Management, he organized a virtual job fair in 2021 to connect students with employers during the COVID-19 pandemic.[4]
Engineers Without Borders Nepal
editIn 2021, Regmi founded Engineers Without Borders (EWB) Nepal, a non-profit organization addressing social and environmental challenges through engineering projects. In 2025, he was elected President-Elect of Engineers Without Borders International, set to assume the presidency in 2026.[5]

editIn 2021, he facilitated a memorandum of understanding between the Advanced College of Engineering and Management and Turkish Airlines to support student opportunities in aviation.[6]
Notable Projects
editIn 2020, Regmi collaborated with the Kashmir World Foundation through the Advanced College of Engineering and Management to send artwork by Nepali students to the moon as part of a space mission.[7] Through Kanjirowa National School, he hosted the Mayor of Fredericksburg, Virginia, in 2019 and a former NASA astronaut in 2020 to promote educational exchanges.[8][9]
