Lindauer (officially Lois L. Lindauer Searches) is an American executive search and recruiting firm that specializes in guiding nonprofit organizations through leadership transitions. Founded in 1997[1] in Boston, Massachusetts, the company conducts leadership searches in partnership with clients in a range of sectors, including higher education, K12 independent schools, healthcare, arts and culture, advocacy, and faith-based organizations.[2]

History

Lois L. Lindauer Searches was founded in 1997 by Lois L. Lindauer to address the growing demand for development professionals in nonprofit organizations.[3]  The firm has focused exclusively on the nonprofit sector since its establishment. In recent years, Lindauer has broadened its geographic scope and expanded its recruitment services to a range of executive leadership and C-Suite roles, serving clients across the US and on five continents.

Leadership

In 2017, the firm appointed Deb Taft as Chief Executive Officer.[4] Taft had joined Lindauer in 2016 as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining the company, she served as Senior Executive Vice President and Managing Director at Grenzebach Glier + Associates, a global consultancy for nonprofit organizations.[5]
