Mariia Oleksandrivna Voitsekhivska (Ukrainian: Марія Олександрівна Войцехівська; born 13.02.1996, Kyiv, Ukraine) is a Ukrainian sports shooter.[1] She is a bronze medalist of the 2018 European 10 m Events Championships, a former World and European record holder in the 10 meter air rifle mixed team event. [2].
Career
editAs a part of the Ukrainian Shooting Federation and the National Shooting Team of Ukraine, Mariia has been competing at the international level since 2014.[3], [4]
Voitsekhivska is a bronze medalist of the 2018 European 10 m Events Championships, where the Ukrainian women’s rifle team secured a podium place in the 10 meter air rifle.[5].
During the qualification round of the Mixed team, Mariia together with Serhiy Kulish, set a World and European record with a combined score of 838.5 points. The pair ultimately placed fifth in the final [6].
Voitsekhivska is also a three-time national record holder in Ukraine.
- In February 2016, she set a Ukrainian record in Air rifle team event during 2016 European 10 m Events Championships in the 10 meter air rifle (1230.7 points). [7]
- In February 2018, she and Serhiy Kulish set another national record in the mixed team category with 838.5 points. [8]
- In July 2018, she contributed to a new Ukrainian team record in the 10 meter air rifle (1867.4 points).[9]
She studied at the School of Higher Sports Mastery in Kyiv [10] and has obtained the title of Master of Sports of Ukraine, International Class.[11]
In 2019, she graduated with honors from the National University of Physical Education and Sport of Ukraine with Master’s degree in Physical Education and Sports. [12]
