Its services include POS systems, payments (USezPay), online ordering (MealKeyway), financial services (EZ Capital and WEFOOD Capital), and restaurant consulting (WEFOOD).

History
edit2013: Founding and early development
MenuSifu was established in 2013 in New York City by Wang Qiang and Li Yu. Wang had prior experience in the restaurant industry, while Li had a research background in data science at Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons. The company initially focused on Asian-American restaurants in the United States and introduced its first POS-based product.[3]
2014–2015: Early expansion and seed funding
In 2014, the team refined its product features based on early client feedback. In 2015, MenuSifu received angel funding from ZhenFund and expanded its operations beyond New York to other regions in North America.
2017: Series A financing and market expansion
In 2017, the company secured US$3 million in Series A funding led by Amino Capital, with participation from Jubilee Capital Management. [4]Following the investment, MenuSifu expanded its operations across multiple regions in the United States and Canada.
2020: Pandemic response and product innovation
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the restaurant industry was significantly impacted. Within 20 days, MenuSifu developed and launched a contactless online ordering system to support restaurant operations. The company also assisted clients in applying for government subsidies and loans totaling more than US$1.3 million. According to company reports, operations began to recover in May 2020 and returned to pre-pandemic levels by 2021.[5]
2022–present: Series B financing and ecosystem development
In 2022, MenuSifu secured US$20 million in Series B funding led by Challenjers Venture, expanding its client base to more than 10,000 restaurants.[6]In 2024, the company raised US$40 million in Series B funding and began transitioning into a “POS-centered restaurant ecosystem platform,” incorporating services in payments, financial technology, and automation. According to company reports, MenuSifu achieved a fourfold increase in business between 2022 and 2024, with an average annual growth rate of approximately 142 percent.[7]
Global presence and social responsibility
editMenuSifu maintains branch offices in New York, California, Florida, Texas, and Nanjing, China, and employs more than 400 people. [1]
In the area of social responsibility, the company launched the Food Brings Us Together campaign to promote anti-discrimination and oppose racial hatred, and organized donations of medical supplies during the COVID-19 pandemic.[3]
According to company disclosures, MenuSifu intends to further integrate artificial intelligence and data analytics to advance kitchen automation and financial management systems. The company has also stated plans to expand into the mainstream North American restaurant market while supporting the international growth of Chinese cuisine brands.[8]
Partnerships and industry influence
editIn September 2024, MenuSifu formed a partnership with the food delivery platform DoorDash.
The company has participated in several North American restaurant industry exhibitions, including consecutive appearances at the National Restaurant Association Show (NRA Show).[9][10] In 2025, MenuSifu was the title sponsor of the Taste of Asia event series, which took place in five cities across the United States[11]
