Seanloui is an American singer-songwriter whose music fuses R&B, synth-pop, and alternative rock. He has gained international attention for his live performances in Mexico, Colombia, France, and the United States, and has been covered in both English- and Spanish-language media.
Early life
editSeanloui was raised in Orange County, California. His mother was a nationally touring gospel singer, and his grandmother performed with well-known soul groups such as The Platters and The Temptations. As a teenager, he began songwriting and learning multiple instruments, influenced by artists like Prince and Maxwell.
Career
editSeanloui began his career as a songwriter before launching his solo music in 2016 with the single "W.A.I.S.T.D." He later released several EPs, including Beauty in the Chaos (2020), Noir (2021), Kara (2022), and Danger (2023). The *Danger* EP was described as a blend of R&B, rock, and hip-hop and received positive press in Latin American music media.[1]
International performances
editSeanloui has performed across Mexico, including shows in Tijuana, Hermosillo, and Mexico City. In May 2023, he held a headline concert at Multiforo 246 in Mexico City to mark the local release of his *Danger* EP, following promotional performances in public spaces.[2]
In September 2023, he performed in Bogotá, Colombia, in a showcase event covered by national press, which called him “el rostro emergente del R&B” (the emerging face of R&B).[3] He has also performed in Paris, France.
