The agency specialises in e-commerce growth, paid media, digital strategy, and creative services, with a focus on artificial intelligence (AI)–driven advertising and data-led marketing solutions.¹
Founded in 2019 by Clair Heaviside and Dom Carter, Serotonin has grown into one of Manchester’s independent agencies, with a client base spanning retail, fashion, hospitality, lifestyle, and technology sectors. The company has been recognised in the BIMA 100, Prolific North Top 50 Digital Agencies, and regional and national awards.²
History
editThe company was originally launched in 2019 under the name The Light before rebranding as Serotonin in 2020.¹ Its founders, Clair Heaviside and Dom Carter, both had backgrounds in digital marketing and agency leadership prior to establishing the firm.
In August 2025, Serotonin announced the acquisition of Unparalleled, a Manchester-based e-commerce agency, in a move that consolidated its market position and grew annual EBITDA beyond £1 million.³⁴ Following the acquisition, Serotonin’s headcount increased to more than 40 staff.
