In 2019, the library was a part of a budget that would give $424,000, split between South Holiday Branch Library, Centennial Park Branch Library, and New River Branch Library to hire new employees to open the branches on Mondays.[5]
On May 22, 2021, the library closed to undergo renovations. The renovation was funded by the General Obligation Bond passed in 2018, and was set to renovate the furniture, floors, ceilings, and a makerspace.[6] The building was reopened on December 5, 2022.[7]
