Progressive alien deathcore is a fusion of deathcore with progressive metal, with added focus on science fiction themes. Ultimate Guitar stated that the genre is "characterized by meticulous technicality combined with atmospheric elements and sound effects evoking an “alien”, or “SF-like” feel." Notable practitioners of the style include Rings of Saturn, Xenomorphic Contamination, Ateranosis, and Aversions Crown.[1][2][3]
