Return to office (RTO) refers to a reduction or cessation of remote work policies.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, many businesses instituted remote work policies. Following the pandemic, businesses recalled their workforce to the office.[1][2]

The RTO calls increase employee attrition and often impact staff more than management.[3]

RTO efforts have been ascribed to threat rigidity.[4]
