Ronherry, regarding this edit. I eventually found the part of the article where the claim is made that IS (actively) assisted this plot. We say in this article that US intelligence makes this claim. In fact the ABC source makes no such claim, attributed or otherwise. It does claim (as do local police and prosecution), that the plotters were inspired by or followers of IS, but not directed by them, were radicalised online and one or more had pledged allegiance to IS online. None of this even hints at the active assistance of IS. The number of people involved is irrelevant. There is simply no reason to believe that this was anything other than (the most common) form of plot, which are normally locally planned and attempted, inspired by, but not directed or assisted by IS itself.
