Similar but not quite. It's called a star-shaped set, when ${\displaystyle aS\subset S}$  for real ${\displaystyle 0\leq a<1}$ , whereas here balancing is done with ${\displaystyle |a|<1}$  which allows negative ${\displaystyle a}$  and that is what makes it "balance", the positive and negative a balance one-another. 67.198.37.16 (talk) 12:55, 12 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
