More information of examples where this technique is effective and those where it has some useful benefits.

I am particularly interested in scenarios in gyms and swimming pools where instructors use portable speakers. The floors these speakers stand on are solid and I wonder if isolating them using this or related technologies would be useful.

I am not expecting a solution to this problem ( it really needs a much bigger acoustic treatment of the spaces) but a more useful indication of the types of application such technologies are useful for.
