There's no mention of data fusion in the page for meta-analysis, so should the link really be here? Xpontus 14:51, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

External links modified
editHello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just modified one external link on Data fusion. Please take a moment to review my edit. If you have any questions, or need the bot to ignore the links, or the page altogether, please visit this simple FaQ for additional information. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/web/20150527195100/http://www.isif.org/sites/isif.org/files/journals/4-3075D03.pdf to http://www.isif.org/sites/isif.org/files/journals/4-3075D03.pdf
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}

Suggested new application section: For materials characterization
editHello Editors,
I've noticed that this article provides several specific application areas for data fusion but does not currently cover its use in the physical and material sciences. I would like to propose the creation of a new subsection to address this. As an author of the paper I'm citing, I am posting this here to adhere to COI guidelines. I suggest creating a new subsection titled "For materials characterization" with the following text:
In materials science, data fusion is used to combine information from different analytical techniques to create a more complete understanding of a sample. For instance, structural information from X-ray Computed Tomography (XCT) can be fused with chemical phase information from X-ray Diffraction (XRD) to create a single, rich dataset. To accelerate the development of machine learning algorithms for this purpose, benchmark datasets are being created. One such example is a multimodal dataset of a zinc-doped zeolite, providing spatially correlated XCT and XRD-CT data specifically designed for training and validating data fusion models.[1]
I believe adding this section would broaden the scope of the article and provide a valuable example from a highly active area of research.
Thank you for your consideration. Jazzymonster2025 (talk) 10:50, 8 August 2025 (UTC)
