DON'T FIGHT THE FEELING - Does anyone know what old school jam did Too Short use to make this song? The song PIMP THE HOE, Too Short used Cameo's Keep It Hot. I just can't figure out which group & song was use to make DON'T FIGHT THE FEELING. Does anyone know? Let me know at wickerpicker@hotmail.com THX.
Rappin 4 Tay was on Don't Fight The Feelin'. Rappin 4 Tay didn't release an album until 1992 because of drug charges.

Release date
editI'm not here to ask User:Caro7200 to stop changing the date from 1989 to back to 1988 on this album, but to go back on my initial change from almost six months ago, it would be worth noting that a date of copyright and a release date are not the same thing. Just look at Straight Outta Compton by N.W.A for example, many sources say it came out in 1988 based on its copyright date while the article itself says it wasn't released (officially) until 1989. Does this mean we should change that to "1988 or 1989" as well?
When I first corrected the date for Life Is... Too Short to 1989 last February, one source I cited claims the album had "already over 250,000 units in just tree weeks" while another one indicates that it didn't chart until that February (those facts could align with a proper/official release in at least early 1989). The latest source I cited, which is Public Records, claims Dangerous Music published it on January 6th, 1989 yet RIAA.com and AllMusic.com say it wasn't out until January 31st of that year. So the consensus is the album was more than likely not released officially until January 1989 or at least early in the year in spite of the 1988 copyright. - As noted, way too many reliable sources point to some version being released in 1988--whether that version was simply a back-of-the-trunk or small, local release. Please do not ignore the compromise until this has been resolved. Cheers. Caro7200 (talk) 14:02, 4 August 2025 (UTC)
- Yes, but you clearly don't seem to care about or understand the fact that a release date and a copyright date aren't the same thing, which could point out that the release date of 1989 and not 1988 is more accurate. Otherwise, I'm done discussing this and not going to change the date back anymore. UndergroundMan3000 (talk) 14:07, 4 August 2025 (UTC)
- I completely understand. What the reliable sources are attesting to is that a version was released in 1988, not that it was copyrighted in 1988. Why are you disinterested in a compromise after initially claiming to be? If this is deeply important to you, revert to your version, but, in the face of many reliable sources, this seems to be a misunderstanding of how many rap albums were released and sold in the 1980s. Cheers. Caro7200 (talk) 14:23, 4 August 2025 (UTC)
- Please also note: many editors have pointed out on the Albums Project Page that AllMusic is not reliable for release dates for older albums. You may want to visit newspapers.com to find or confirm a release date for the 1989 Jive version. Cheers. Caro7200 (talk) 14:27, 4 August 2025 (UTC)
