Men are erased

edit

The only images in this article are all women. This erases men from the history of programming. This is a severe gender bias and misrepresentation. 2001:4C4E:24AF:5A00:EB5A:416D:DE81:CA5A (talk) 07:50, 10 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

Obviously it is likely all the men in the world have been laid off, died off, retired, or have gone into other engineering fields with real jobs ;-). I also noticed there might be a tiny emphasis on convincing primary women and minorities that programming is a viable career choice while others types of people are pushed to the sidelines and this is what you may have noticed on WP. Take for instance, much AI training is currently done by mostly women in poorer countries around the world because of the deleterious nature of the work and lower wages. So yes, someone should put in the article an archive picture that showed men where programmers. Septagram (talk) 16:06, 10 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
