Terminology

" The song consists of extensive samples from a composition by Elena Kats-Chernin  entitled Eliza's Aria " - hardly "samples" .... it's used pretty much as a backing track. 87.115.159.38 (talk) 07:29, 3 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Birth year

edit

To back up recent edits concerning this; while 1967 has been given in references since the start of her career, it does appear that Cracknell is 2 years older, though I haven't yet come across any secondary sources to go with this. I wont change the year back to 1967 but I will carry on researching. Crisso (talk) 05:29, 18 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Another user has changed the date back to 1967 so I've added a dubious tag for now. The only non-primary source I've found that gives 1965 is the online Saint Etienne disco site, but I can't quite tell if this is official or a fan site, though I suspect the latter. It would seem this Discography site is accessible from their official website www.saintetienne.com as a link titled Discography. 142.198.74.123 (talk) 19:39, 18 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
Sarah Cracknell has personally submitted multiple legal filings with Companies House confirming her date of birth is 12th April 1965 (not 1967). These are easily accessible: https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/officers/lu2dibfBHhzs2u6Y4wicd9mv8q4/appointments
Her Wikipedia date of birth is incorrect and should be amended to 1965. 2A04:4A43:417F:CEE4:1CC:D9B2:7156:59A3 (talk) 18:47, 13 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
