Despite ridiculous attempts to globalize this article, spring break (in the sense of college students getting drunk and having sex in the spring vacation) is an almost exclusively American concept. The attempts to link it to other spring traditions in the rest of the world are misleading and preposterous. There's nothing wrong with having an article on SB in the US, but it shouldn't pretend that this is a global phenomenon, which it certainly isn't. Ef80 (talk) 20:30, 4 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Spring Break is singly an American term for Easter. The holiday is during the celebration of Easter, always. I have never heard the term used outside the US and US TV. Unfortunately, this article has the exact same problem as Tenth grade and all the other "grade" articles. An article has been started about an American topic, and then editors have tried to expand and equate it with similar, but different, concepts in other countries. Totally agree. I'm going to incredibly bold and remove almost everything from this article. The phrase Spring Break is an American cultural concept that may have had some export into other countries, but it's probably better if we start all over again.Seaweed (talk) 18:39, 28 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
