Template:Reflist hide/doc

This is a documentation subpage for Template:Reflist hide. It may contain usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page.

This template is used on many pages and changes may be widely noticed. Test changes in the template's /sandbox or /testcases subpages, or in your own user subpage. Consider discussing changes on the talk page before implementing them.

Add {{reflist hide}} to a page to hide the references list on talk pages, user pages, help pages, etc.. It should not be used in articles.

Reference error messages are seen in preview, but not after saving.

{{reflist hide}} allows discussion of tables, prose, etc. without having to remove the references from them, and without cluttering up the talk page.

If you want to discuss references, but want them just for a specific talk section, then use {{Reflist-talk}} in that talk section. If you want those to be collapsed use {{Sources-talk}} or this redirect to it: {{Reflist-talk-collapsed}}.
