Heyo, I'm jamjam.
My time on Wikipedia
editI created this account a good while before I started editing with any pace, making my first edit to the article Haruhi Fujioka on 30 July 2021. From 2020 I began making edits very frequently on Fandom wikis (which I have now abandoned due to their bad business practices), creating the 1600 page Aunty Donna Wiki. I am also interested in board games, and seeing the need for more articles on that topic, I began to edit more. On August 29, 2022, I wrote my first article about Oath: Chronicles of Empire and Exile, my all-time favourite board game. I published my tenth article, Norwich Pride, on 15 June 2023, and my first good article was Greenpeace Lyng GM maize action which reached that status on 27 March 2024. My fiftieth article was on British musician Master Peace, and my hundredth was about the Norwich city walls.
As of December 2024, three of the articles I've created appear on Wikipedia's unusual articles list. These are cop slide, Detroit Bridgerton Themed Ball, and the Cornell University pumpkin prank. As of January 2025, the biggest article I've created is about the 2024 look-alike contests.
My current main focus, and what I get the most satisfaction from, is simply creating new articles. Usually, I'll come a cross a topic and see if it has an article, and judging by my surprise at that article's non-existence, I'll decide to write it. I also try to abide by WP:NOTE and other policies, of course. Maybe, in the future, I will become more involved in the other mechanisms of Wikipedia.
For me, Wikipedia is a means by which I can feel that I am positively impacting a world that, elsewhere, feels unresponsive to any genuine endeavours to improve it.

I went to see Aunty Donna in September 2023 after improving the article!

I came across the Norwich Pride bus by chance in September 2023, sadly with a lion decal that got decapitated!

I finally met lonely old Samson in March 2024.

editNotes
edit- ^ This number includes the Leder Games, Master Peace, Thy Slaughter and stop the boats articles, all of which were created from redirects and so do not appear on XTools. It does not include disambiguation pages, of which I have created 2. As such, this number should be the number on XTools plus 2.
