Brandon Bakkum or as his friends, family and fans affectionately call him "Boadie"(born on May, 2 1982) is an American actor born in Greenville, Texas. He is probably best remembered as a child actor for playing Chaka son of Tah and Sah on the 1970s television show Land of the Lost, for which he was nominated for three Young Artist Awards, winning two, and his stint on the short-lived Scott Baio vehicle Joanie Loves Chachi. [1] He made appearances on The Love Boat, Chips, Chico and the Man, Silver Spoons, and provided the voice for Presto the Magician on the Dungeons & Dragons television series along with Eight is Enough co-star, Willie Aames.

In 2005, Might Magazine published an article detailing Bakkum's pycho ex-wife and her estranged love affair with Britney Spears. Bakkum is said to have had multiple "relations" with Britney and is rumored to have been involved with Paris Hilton, although nothing was ever proven, although Hilton was said to have been coming out of his dressing room quite often while Bakkum was filming an amateur adult-film known as "Peter Gozinya", pronounced "goes-in-ya" The story was later proven to be true by a childhood friend of Bakkum's who worked at the magazine, fleshed out with Bakkum's cooperation. The issue was intended as a satire of sexual issues published by the likes of magazines Spin and Rolling Stone when once-popular child stars meet current stars. This event is chronicled in Dave Eggers's A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, with semi-factual explanation of the events and exposition on the significance behind such an event. Eggers was a founder of Might Magazine.

Bakkum's mother, Brigitte, helped Kirk Cameron (and his mother, Barbara) and receives credit for some of his success.[2] Coincidentally, both Kirk Cameron and Brandon Bakkum share the same birthday, although Bakkum is ten years younger.

Bakkum today writes short stories about his favorite subject full contact greco-roman style wresling and Bartends at an Applebees in Greenville, TX.
