There are numerous examples of ridiculous things on Wikipedia that go long periods without being noticed. I should've started this list months ago, but it's never too late. Feel free to add to this if you have examples.

  1. Zang Gil-Jah, Created on February 22nd and sat in this state until I tagged it for deletion on March 9, 2009. Article consisted of "Sometimes spelled Chung Gil Cha or Xhang Gil Cha. Leader of the World Mission Society Church of God."
  2. (show/hide) (diff) 17:41, 15 February 2009 . . Enigmaman (Talk | contribs | block) (24 bytes) (redirect) (show/hide) (diff) 10:18, 3 September 2008 . . MrWoddington (Talk | contribs | block) (26 bytes) (← Redirected page to Gary Glitter)
  3. This defamation stuck on Andy Dick for over two months before I reverted it.
  4. this
  5. that
  6. Reverted 6 day old vandalism
  7. Reverted days old vandalism
  8. Arbitration award - link spam sat in article for more than 15 months.
  9. The Wack Pack - Article was like this for months before I gutted it. Rude user was edit-warring to make sure the defamation stayed up. The reward I got for removing BLP violations was this.
  10. Siobhan Meow - Sat like this for months.
  11. Pauly_Shore - Quite frankly, it's disgusting what went on there. Here's what the article looked like before I stepped in, gutted it, and got it semiprotected.
  12. Shawn Crahan - Similar to Pauly Shore, it contained a lot of garbage before I gutted it and got it semiprotected.
  13. President - This somehow stuck for 10 days. The usual. People not checking for the last good version. If you're reverting to an IP, you better check, because most IP edits are vandalism.
  14. ICTV Newswatch 16 - two months and two weeks
  15. Kit (given name) - from April 27-28, not reverted for weeks
  16. Kit Fine - First sentence of the article for over three years and four months: "Kit Fine (born March 26, 1946) is Silver Professor of Philosophy at New York University." That isn't even written in correct English. The first sentence!
  17. KGOW - this defamation stuck for over a year.
  18. City - For as long as I can see, the beginning of the article read "A city is relatively large and permanent settlement" until I fixed it.
  19. Bubba Franks - [1] Was there since April 15.
  20. Ty Lawson - two weeks.
  21. Calvin Goddard (ballistics) - [2] and [3] were not removed until July 30, 2009.
  22. Martin Rowlands - This garbage stuck for two weeks.
  23. Humberto Quintero - stuck for almost two years
  24. Viktor Kozlov - [4]
  25. Butch Goring - [5]
  26. Curt Schilling - no one noticed for a few hours
  27. Sanu - gibberish stuck on article for 3 years.
