The Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system is a rapid transit system in Singapore and the country's principal mode of transport. Owned by the Land Transported Authority (LTA), there are 151 stations served by the system. The system has two operators: SMRT trains and SBS transit. SMRT operates the North–South, East–West, Circle, and Thomson–East Coast lines whilst SBS operates the North East and Downtown lines.

There are 6 operational lines on the MRT system. The NSL is the first line to open and goes from Jurong East to Marina South Pier. (add line descriptions).
