editThe Sahel is a geographical region in Africa comprising of Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, Cameroon, Guinea, The Gambia, Senegal, Nigeria, Chad and Mauritania, stretching from the continent's west coast to the Red Sea; the region has one of the world's highest birth rates in the world, with almost two thirds of the population being under the age of 25.[1]
