![]() | This page in a nutshell: Don't make redirects purely to assist article writing. Instead, use editing tricks, such as piping, to link to the article. |
Redirects are magical, powerful pages, able to ferry lost travelers to their correct destination, and at a remarkably small fee, too. However, the fee, while small, is not zero-- an aspiring sorcerer should do well to keep themself from misusing them, else their ghosts may return to haunt our ___domain.
You may have noted that not a single one of those links goes to a page bearing that name-- and yet, none used redirects to do so.
I'm going to bed but continue on with giving examples of an editor misusing redirects in order to assist article writing with the cost of generating implausible redirects, before instructing the editor on how to use alternate non-redirect tricks to achieve the same/similar results, such as [[magic]]s or [[target|magical link]]
