The Hooligans and Kanye West

edit

During the creation of hip-hop superduo ¥$'s debut collaborative album Vultures 1, American rapper Kanye West had visited Italy and Inter Milan games, where he met producer Federico Secondome, who helped gather the Curva Nord for backing vocals and chants on two songs on Vultures 1, those being "Stars" and "Carnival",[1][2] the latter of which debuted at number 3 and later peaked at number 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.[3][4]

On April 20, 2024, West would again use the Curva Nord, now referring to them as "The Hooligans", on the track "Like That Remix" with Metro Boomin and Future.[5] Later, during the recording of ¥$'s second album Vultures 2, West would use the Curva Nord for backing vocals on three songs: "Time Moving Slow", "Fried", and "River", with "Fried" drawing comparisons to "Carnival" due to the production and usage of the Curva Nord.[6][7][8]
