Here are some articles I am considering improving:

  • 1859 Liberian general election
    • This article contains very little information. It contains only a 2-sentence lead and one citation to a general election database. In order to improve the article, I would conduct quite a bit of research and add more information and citations to the page.
  • Precious Lunga
    • Likewise, this page is a stub with relatively little information and few citations. Dr. Precious Lunga is a Zimbabwean epidemiologist, entrepreneur, and CEO of an app which makes personalized health education more accessible. Someone with her achievements should have a strong, extensive Wikipedia page.
  • Elections in Madagascar
    • Once again, the biggest problem with this page is that it contains very little information, especially for such a broad topic. This page only links 2 sources, when a simple search in the Williams library catalog yields substantial results on this topic. This might be a good opportunity to use my resources as a privileged student to share information with the world.
  • Zimbabwe Labour Party
    • This stub article about the Zimbabwe Labour Party consists of just a few sentences and no citations. It would benefit greatly from additional research and attention.
  • Igbo literature
    • This page refers to the spoken and written literature of the Igbo people in Nigeria. It is not as sparse as some stub articles, but it is still quite incomplete, with only 12 citations. For reference, the Wikipedia page on English literature is extremely comprehensive, citing almost 200 sources. There appear to be Williams library sources that could help me flesh this article out.
  • African feminism
    • This article has some good content now. In fact, its talk page indicates that it has been the subject of academic projects before. But it would benefit greatly from more work. In the context of this article, I think it is particularly important to clarify that African feminism is not just a single brand of feminism. Rather, it reflects a diverse range of experiences and norms across an entire continent. In particular, I'd like to add a section on Kenyan feminism. Currently, the only example of African feminism provided is Nigerian feminist movements.
