The movie Shh... Galuya Malap is actually directed by Tshering Wangyel and produce by Etho Meto production. It revolves around the understanding that it is not the disease that kills someone but the stigma that is attached to it. It attempts at trying to show the audience about giving moral support to those infected with the disease[1]
Plot
editDeki (Tshoki Tshomo Karchung) is a 25 year old, well educated woman who is a workaholic. She is a dreamer and very ambitious. She has a wonderful life and a great future ahead of her. Tobgay is her childhood friend who is very close to her. He is shown as someone who is not intellectually smart. He is lazy and like a street bum but he is funny and witty. Tshering is an intellectual who meets Deki and changes her whole life. While each one continues living their own lives, Deki meets Tshering. After spending some time together Deki finds out that she has been infected with the deadly disease- AIDS. When the whole world has its back on her, her best friend Tobgay helps her understand the true essence of love and friendship. He helps her and gives support through her battle with the disease. The whole movie is a narrative of Deki after she writes a book about her struggles caused by the disease.
Production
editThe movie was produced by Etho Meto Production. The movie shows the stigma and discrimination towards HIV/AIDS Patients by the society. It also tries to convey message to all the audience especially the uneducated women/men and also giving moral support rather than ignoring the HIV/AIDS patients.
