The Coastal Cobras are a franchise in Major League Wiffle Ball (MLW), based in Brighton, Michigan. The club was founded in 2017 by pitcher/manager Drew Davis and plays its home series at **The Meadows**. The Cobras have reached the MLW World Series twice, finishing runners-up in 2017 and again in 2022 at SoFi Stadium. [1][2]
History
editMLW introduced the Cobras as part of its modern expansion era in 2017, with Davis assembling a roster built around pitching and defense. The team jumped onto the scene by taking a 2–0 series lead in the 2017 World Series before falling 3–2 to the Midwest Mallards. [1]
In 2022, the Cobras returned to the championship stage at SoFi Stadium, where they were swept 3–0 by the Downtown Diamondbacks. [2] The SoFi series marked the league’s first neutral-site World Series in an NFL venue. [3]
