Jermyn Creppy (born in Copenhagen on November 7, 1996), better known as Icekiid sometimes stylized as ICEKIID, is a Danish musician and singer and co-owner of the Danish independent label Cannibal Records. Icekiid is a hip hop artist with afro-beat, R'n'B and dancehall influences.

Career

Born in Copenhagen, Denmark of Ghanaian parents, he was raised in the residential project Østervang in Hillerød. In 2016, he released his debut EP Afro Dansker that included the track "Blondiner og Brunetter" which was treamed more than 10 million on Spotify.[1] He also recorded "Afrikaner" which was filmed in Ghana. In May 2017, the single "Gold Dance" in support of FC Copenhagen to celebrate their latest championship in the Super League in the 2016-17 season.[2] Icekiid was nominated for the Celebrate Africa Awards 2017, where he won the category for "Afro Inspired Music". In 2019, Icekiid released his second EP $TAMINA SZN. The EP includes a collaboration with rapper KESI.
