(real name: X-B-E-N-J-O-E-S) is a Kenyan gospel artist, music video director, and film director. He is best known for his award-winning music videos and gospel songs, including Subira and Naiwe. As the founder of Wazito Films, he has directed videos for top Kenyan artists such as Shiru Wa GP, Mejja, Size 8, Loise Kim, and Ringtone, Lady Bee , Noti Flow … the list goes on

Early life and background

Xbenjoes was born in Nakuru, Kenya. He began pursuing music and videography at a young age and started directing music videos in 2013, at around 16 years old. His career path led him into the Kenyan entertainment industry, where he built a reputation for creative visuals and gospel artistry.

Music career

Xbenjoes started as a secular artist in 2017, releasing songs that gained recognition.
In 2019, he transitioned into gospel music, following a personal conviction to dedicate his art to Jesus Christ. Despite shocking many fans, he has remained consistent in gospel music.
In 2022, he released his first EP, Thankful, which performed well across digital platforms.
His single "Subira", released in 2025, speaks about patience and perseverance.

His directed video Nataka by Majic Mike won Best Video awards in regional competitions.
