Question for administrator

edit

Since this is an auto-block that happens only when I'm posting from my work machine, does this mean that I can never remove the unblock request? Or that I can remove it after some period of time? I don't see an expiration date. I want to ensure I'm remaining in full compliance of the Wikipedia rules, and I've searched the website but don't see clear guidance regarding this particular situation. I don't see much point in keeping the unblock request here if this applies only to attempts to post from work (which I won't do any more, since clearly there's no motivation to do so and getting special permission is unlikely and unnecessary).

Thanks!

  • Your account is not blocked, so you can remove the unblock request anytime. Those rules apply only to direct blocks. I also ran CheckUser to see what web host we're talking about, and I've changed that block to anon-only, so you should be able to edit from that ___location with your account (not logged out, so don't try that) without difficulty. If you continue to see the block notice while you're logged in, let us know. :-) Katietalk 15:59, 3 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
