Welcome!
editHello and encyclopedic contributions to Wikipedia are welcomed by everyone. It appears you are new, therefore you may want to read up on various policies. Wikipedia has policies against original research (WP:OR), unreliable sources (WP:RS), and injecting misinformation into articles (WP:SNEAKY). Please review these polices to avoid getting involved in conflicts or being perceived as engaging in vandalism or disruptive editing. Wukuendo (talk) 10:31, 31 August 2025 (UTC)
- Hello! My apologies if my added section was unsuitable/not up to par to Wikipedia's standards. I do not want to engage in conflict with anyone! However, in my defense: I have *not* injected any misinformation into the article. It is unfair to presume that any criticism against the language must be misinformation or vandalism. I am certain that the paragraph I added to Wikipedia was as unbiased as I could write.
- From the very articles you link:
- "Wikipedia articles are required to present a neutral point of view. However, reliable sources are not required to be neutral, unbiased, or objective. Sometimes non-neutral sources are the best possible sources for supporting information about the different viewpoints held on a subject."
- The articles I cited are also quite popular, and from respectable authors.
- In-fact, the Java (programming language) article's "Criticism" section *also* cites weblogs criticizing the language, such as: https://web.archive.org/web/20080211111923/http://www.jelovic.com/articles/why_java_is_slow.htm as well as https://web.archive.org/web/20071010002142/http://weblogs.java.net/blog/arnold/archive/2005/06/generics_consid_1.html as well as https://web.archive.org/web/20120921140402/http://blogs.technet.com/b/mmpc/archive/2010/10/18/have-you-checked-the-java.aspx
- If you have any problems with the accuracy of the used citations in specific, please do share, but as has been verified by multiple online discussions, they are not unfair critiques of the language.
- Who else but independent software engineers will criticize a language? By not including such a section to the article, it misleads the reader, almost maliciously. MapleTheColor (talk) 15:23, 31 August 2025 (UTC)
Act of Vandalism
editThis is your only warning; if you vandalize Wikipedia again with defamatory material, as you did at V (programming language), you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Wukuendo (talk) 11:41, 1 September 2025 (UTC)
- Sorry, are you an administrator for Wikipedia? Firstly, if not, you do not reserve the right to throw these "warnings" at me. If you are, then I'd look into the matter further. In any case, I would like to ask another Wikipedia administrator about their opinion into this matter, especially on how gatekeeping and harassing you are. Have a good day. - Wukuendo is not an admin and issued this warning in an attempt to follow WP:AIV, where they reported you.
- Since your edits do not appear to be obvious vandalism or spam and only one warning was given there will likely be no action taken against you.
- Be aware that Wukuendo has a history of this in which they accuse editors of vandlism, having a conflict of interest or others to either discourage or hinder changes to the V article that they do not agree with. Jan200101 (talk) 10:51, 2 September 2025 (UTC)
