editPlease do not add or change content, as you did at List of neo-noir films, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. The source that you included for Take Aim at the Police Van doesn't list this film. DonIago (talk) 00:54, 12 April 2023 (UTC)
- I did provide a reliable source via Criterion’s page, which is a reliable exhibitor of films. Solitarynoirnerd (talk) 14:29, 25 October 2023 (UTC)

editPlease do not add or change content, as you did at List of neo-noir films, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources to see how to add references to an article. The source that you listed for The G didn't appear to describe the film as being a neo-noir? Perhaps I overlooked something? DonIago (talk) 16:03, 24 May 2025 (UTC)
- “This kind of terse, nasty small-town noir used to be an effective calling card for directors”
- ahem Solitarynoirnerd (talk) 22:08, 24 May 2025 (UTC)
- I'm not sure that's the same as calling the film a 'neo-noir'. You're welcome to raise the question at the Talk page for the article though! DonIago (talk) 02:41, 25 May 2025 (UTC)
- Considering it got compared to neo noir Blood Simple, plus the neo noir tag is for anything made after the classic era, so going into the specifics that it actually has to have neo for it to be allowed in the list is very ludicrous. There are plenty of films on this list that have similar sources. You’re being a pain! Solitarynoirnerd (talk) 10:12, 25 May 2025 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, you're entirely welcome to disagree with my views, but why do you feel the need to engage in personal attacks? Are you afraid that if you do ask the question at the Talk page the consensus that emerges won't support your opinions? I might have let this drop, but your resistance has now made me more invested in the subject. If you don't initiate the conversation, I will. DonIago (talk) 20:14, 25 May 2025 (UTC)
