- Hi! My name is Jorge Aranda, I'm 26 years old, an office manager at a car dealership, and I submit myself as a candidate for
hell the Arbitration Committee for the 2015 term. I was redundant to run this year, as I didn't keep up to date with this year committee and I was semi-active for about half the year while I fought some health issues. I was happy being elected as a reserve member for the electoral committee, but we got 3 quality members there and I was worried about a lack of quality candidates for this thankless, but essential role. My statement last year, pretty much mirrors this year, with a focus on experience, as I've been an editor since 2005 and an administrator (on and off) since 2006 and WP:BLP, which I feel ArbCom should get more involved as community consensus is torn in this issue. If I'm elected I will listen closely to both sides of the dispute, pick no favorites, and use common sense on every decision with ignore all rules if needed and avoid process wonkery. I will also focus on behind the scenes work if elected, especially the ban appeals subcommittee, which I will try to transfer from something within ArbCom realm, to the community as ArbCom is overworked as it is. I am an OTRS member.
