I narrowly declined a speedy deletion request on this one, because of a possibly credible claim of importance (lots of offline refs cited). I think a few more eyes are required to determine whether or not this guy is notable enough. I suspect not. —SMALLJIM 14:29, 23 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete, I fail to see how he is notable. I don't believe he meets the general notability requirement. L Kensington (talk • contribs) 05:12, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- delete, No offense to Mr. Slavin, but someone who is known for working as anything on a film ie: extra work and stand-in work is not notable for somthing like Wikipedia. When he's the next Matt Damon then he can get an article. :) FrancisDrake (talk) 22:26, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- I've noticed that the article has been lengthened, however, I do not see anything that would enhance Slavin's notability. Having pictures taken with a celebrities and "partying" with celebrities doesn't make his notability as an actor and a filmmker any more notable. I've partied with celebrities too, does this make me notable? FrancisDrake (talk) 19:41, 27 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete, as nominator. I've now done a bit of online research (all I can do in the circumstances) and I've found a few references on Google News:
This from the UK Daily Mail newspaper, which shows him standing next to someone notable,
this from a local paper which goes into a bit more detail about the same encounter,
this from another local newspaper showing him standing in front of something potentially newsworthy,
this from the same local paper which mentions him in passing,
this from Houston Press which lists him some way down a list of the actors in a film, and
this from The Boston Globe which lists him last in the final para.
None of the above articles are about him, and I think it would be most unusual if the cited refs that are not available online were the only ones that showed notability . Ah - and I've just found this (see page two) from his local paper which is mostly about Hollywood East, but in which Slavin explains his desire for fame. —SMALLJIM 20:56, 27 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- The IMDB does not list Chuck Slavin as being in The Great Debaters, either under the film or his name, This was the film that his name is listed on at the Houston Press site. FrancisDrake (talk) 04:48, 28 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete. I just don't see the sources adding up to a good claim of notability. He is not a notable actor, nor has his work with the film industry in Massachusetts led to his becoming notable. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 18:13, 28 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
