The result was redirect to Tenerife airport disaster . Up to editors whether to merge anything from the history. "Significance noted in article" does not address the deletion rationale. Sandstein 11:09, 30 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Not notable - Aircraft is only really notable for the Tenerife airport disaster so doesnt really need a stand-alone article, other claims for notability are the firsst scheduled service and first to be hijacked are not really encyclopedic and without the accident would not get a mention.
