This "article" is actually a list, and fundamentally lacks any inclusion criterion. We can't maintain a list of all failed terrorism plots as there are about 700 articles in Category:Failed terrorist attempts or its subcats, of which about a dozen are included in this list. An article (as opposed to a list) might be able to be written on the topic of things that cause terrorist attempts to fail, but, assuming it's not already covered elsewhere like Counterterrorism, that is best done from scratch. * Pppery * it has begun... 04:43, 26 July 2025 (UTC)

T • C • G) 05:08, 26 July 2025 (UTC) - Comment: "failed terrorism plots" is a notable topic that has been discussed by various sources (ABC, BBC) so I think there's a question of whether it should be a list or an article. There is in fact already a list List of unsuccessful terrorist plots in the United States post-9/11. (with a questionable lede but that's a whole other issue). I think that if the list had a coherent inclusion criteria I'd go for that, and if the article was decent I'd go for that. The reason I'm on the fence is that I don't know which is more likely to get written. -- D'n'B-📞 -- 06:17, 26 July 2025 (UTC)

- Comment There have been previous discussions on related topics, see WP:Articles for deletion/List of thwarted Islamic terrorist attacks and WP:Articles for deletion/List of foiled right-wing terrorist attacks from 2023, both of which were closed as "delete". There may also be others I am not aware of. TompaDompa (talk) 00:04, 27 July 2025 (UTC)
- Delete per nom. I don't see how this warrants a separate article because most of such events will never meet the notability guideline, thus making this list look more insignificant than what one would predict it to be. The category is good enough for now. Orientls (talk) 17:16, 27 July 2025 (UTC)
