  1. Plenty of people choose to go by their middle and last name in English. Some famous examples include:

  • Brad Pitt
  • Will Ferrell
  • Paul McCartney
  • Grover Cleveland

• Keep – Upon further review, I have found that Benjamin Franklin Stringfellow (1840–1913) was commonly referred to as Frank Stringfellow, and that is how some of the sources used in his article refer to him.
