Fictional submarine form Verne's work, but much less famous than his notable Nautilus. The article is a poorly referenced plot summary and my WP:BEFORE fails to find anything else. Per WP:ATD-R, we can redirect it to the notable work this appears in (Facing the Flag). Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 01:36, 4 February 2025 (UTC)

- Comment You do have one bit of real-world almost-usage of that name. That would be a priority to merge if that's the outcome. As a rule, single-appearance fictional elements need to be extraordinary to defeat NOPAGE even if notable. Jclemens (talk) 03:34, 4 February 2025 (UTC)
- Redirect - Searches are not turning up any real coverage on the fictional vessel outside of general discussions of the plot of Facing the Flag, so there does not seem to be a reason to have this split off from the main article of the story. I suppose the question here is whether the best WP:ATD would be to Redirect this article title to USS Rushmore (LSD-14) with a hatnote directing readers to Facing the Flag, or redirecting this to Facing the Flag with a hatnote directing readers to USS Rushmore (LSD-14). I'm personally in favor of the latter - it seems like the real-life ship never actually wound up launching under the name HMS Sword, so it would be far more likely that searches for the name would be people looking for the fictional submarine. - Agreed. I wonder if someone could locate a ref explaining why Rushmore was not named as initially planned... Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 04:08, 7 February 2025 (UTC)
- Redirect per Rorshacma. Just doesn't have enough references. Shooterwalker (talk) 19:25, 10 February 2025 (UTC)
