I have absolutely no idea why this person meets WP:GNG but the name is fairly common. Unless someone can demonstrate that, for example, the article has been hijacked then this has no place here. Sitush (talk) 01:11, 7 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete - Bio seemingly started by a family member. Seems to fail GNG, although I am surprised to say this does seem to be a common name. I wouldn't have guessed that... Carrite (talk) 04:21, 7 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Update - subequent to my nomination and Carrite's comment above, Rayabhari has added some content relating to the Guinness Book of Records. If this is indeed the same person then perhaps that is sufficient for a claim of notability? - Sitush (talk) 09:34, 7 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete - Not notable. Guinness Book of Records alone cannot be taken as a basic criteria to prove WP:GNG. -- Bharathiya (talk) 10:35, 9 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

- Relisting comment. I'd like to see more discussion about the sources mentioning taekwondo and the Guinness Book of Records. — Mr. Stradivarius (have a chat) 14:03, 14 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete it's been long established that while many notable people hold world records, holding a world record isn't in itself notable. Andrew Lenahan - Starblind 23:19, 14 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete holding a world record doesn't prove notability. The supposed award he got from US presidents, from my quick research, appear to be handed out to a lot of people who complete a certain routine. Matthew Thompson talk to me bro! 04:38, 22 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Weak Delete - The article isn't World Record of Jayanth Reddy, so there's no point in trying to determine whether such a topic meets WP:GNG. In breaking the world record, the reliable sources also wrote about his life. The article is a biography and the question is whether there is enough reliable source information for a biography on Jayanth Reddy. On looking at the source information, there might be enough to meet WP:GNG. I think there is more reliable source information than I found (below), but I think you would need someone who knows how to ring out all the source info for biographical information before you can get a consensus of Wikipedians to agree that the topic meets WP:GNG.
