Poorly sourced and given sources don't support assertions. Fails WP:GNG. - UtherSRG (talk) 14:17, 27 August 2025 (UTC)

- Comment am a bit concerned that the 2 delete votes make no mention about the notability and instead focus on whether AI has been used on the article. Considering it was started in 2014 to 2015 it could be reverted to an older version or rewritten if he is notable which should be the deciding factor. I'm undecided as I haven't done a search yet. The significant coverage in the article comes from the external link South African Composers here which seems to emanate from a university so I don't know if it's reliable or independent, imv Atlantic306 (talk) 23:36, 28 August 2025 (UTC)
- Can you identify a definitive version of the article that has no AI additions. Can you provide WP:THREE references that prove notability? - UtherSRG (talk) 14:15, 29 August 2025 (UTC)
- This July 2015 version here is probably clean of AI, Atlantic306 (talk) 20:58, 29 August 2025 (UTC)

- There is a bio on All About Jazz here that mentions press coverage on the press link but I'm having trouble tracking it down, imv Atlantic306 (talk) 21:20, 29 August 2025 (UTC)
- Keep but strip back, if necessary, all the way to a stub.
- There is notability. In addition to the All About Jazz, I can find plenty of other references:
- a) BBC Radio 3 website has many references, example here from the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra
- b) University of Pretoria's list of South African composers here
- c) Stellenbosch Library Digital Collections (which also has Christopher James on it).
- d) British Music Collection - John Simon's profile leading to detailed references - website of the respected charity Sound and Music.
- This may well be LLM Slop on top, but underneath there is a composer who should have a presence here. ChrysGalley (talk) 16:11, 30 August 2025 (UTC)
