De-prodded with the dubious rationale "has significant fanbase", this is an unsourced article about a fictional planet which asserts no independent notability. Entire article is effectively plot summary. Black Kite (t) (c) 22:38, 22 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep and rename Junkion: The planet is actually named "Junkion" and "Junk" is the nickname used withing the Transformers' universe. Junkions are central to the plot of the Transformer movies [1]. The Transformers is unquestionably notable. The standard for inclusion as a wikipedia article for elements within a notable fictional work is listed at Wikipedia:Notability (fiction). The element that is the subject of this AfD is verifiably important within the work, and the Real-world coverage (movie reviews, ect.) of the subject also indicates that this article is eligible for inclusion. - The same challenge for proof of this unsupported, bare, assertion is given as at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Velocitron. Prove your argument with cited sources. Uncle G (talk) 02:15, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Umm. I did, See "Junkions are central to the plot of the Transformer movies [2]" in my argument above. Inniverse (talk) 02:44, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Yes, the inhabitants, not the planet. This AfD isn't about the inhabitants. You still haven't provided any evidence that the planet passes WP:GNG (or WP:FICT for that matter). That link could be used in an article about the characters, but it's useless here. Black Kite (t) (c) 10:27, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete- A few passing mentions on a bloggish site just don't cut it as substantial coverage in reliable, independent sources. This article amounts to excessive trivia about a fairly unremarkable aspect of a work of fiction. The fact that the Transformers franchise is undeniably notable does not mean that notability extends to any and all trivia regarding said franchise; all topics are required to demonstrate their own- and this does not.
