- PROD contested in February with reason “Gergen will pass his 100th professional game after this weekend, a requirement in note 3 of WPHOCKEY.” Season is now complete and player is still 34 games shy of 100 with no certainty that he will be back to play next season. Player is non-notable and does not pass WP:NHOCKEY. Scottdrink (talk) 20:14, 1 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Not sure which statistics you are using, but Gergen has played 107 professional games as of the completion of the 2010-11 season (45 with EC Salzburg of the EBHL in 2009-10, 62 games with Bakersfield and Utah Grizzlies in 2010-11). His total games played goes to 112 if you include the games played with EC Salzburg II in the Austrian National League, a second-tier professional league (similar to how the AHL is associated with the NHL in North America). Use this link as reference: http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=18014. Player is notable and passes WP:NHOCKEY by way of Rule 3: "Played at least 100 games in fully professional minor leagues such as the American Hockey League, the International Hockey League, the ECHL, the Mestis, the HockeyAllsvenskan or other such league" Jasonstru (talk) 23:27, 1 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep the Austrian National League Erste Bank Eishockey Liga is the highest level of Hockey in Austria which the elite prospects link shows that he played in. That makes him notable under WP:NHOCKEY criteria 1. If you want to debate if the EBEL does not satisfy criteria #1, then those games would still count toward criteria #3 as pointed out by Jasonstru above. Either way, the subject passes WP:NHOCKEY. -Pparazorback (talk) 02:25, 2 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep: The list of "top professional" leagues is explicit, but Jasonstru is right: however much the Austrian National League doesn't count as a "top" professional league, it's at least reasonable to categorize it as a second-tier professional league, and if so, the 100 game threshold is met.
