Lacks notability. There is only one source, an archived page on the company's own website. Furthermore, their website no longer exists, and I can't seem to find any more info about the company. "NewEdge Capital Group" seems to be unrelated. Winderz IoT (talk) 23:54, 27 December 2024 (UTC)

- Keep Newedge Group is at least as notable as the two companies that merged to create it (Fimat and Calyon Financial), one of which retains its page despite not existing for even longer than Newedge Group.
This is correct, that is unrelated. But there are plenty of sources for more information, if you try searching for "newedge group sa", e.g:"NewEdge Capital Group" seems to be unrelated
I am a former employee of now non-existent entity. Chabala (talk) 01:05, 28 December 2024 (UTC)
- Please see WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS and Wikipedia:Inclusion is not an indicator of notability. The sources you have listed do not satisfy the criteria for Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies). Helpful Raccoon (talk) 04:00, 28 December 2024 (UTC)
- I haven't looked into Fimat or Calyon Financial. However, I'm guessing their notability could also be challenged, each article is largely unsourced and only provides one actual citation. The Calyon Financial article for example only cites some info regarding the September 11 attacks. Winderz IoT (talk) 04:23, 28 December 2024 (UTC)
- Keep: Plenty of non-trivial coverage to satisfy WP:NCORP, including Financial Times: [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] Helpful Raccoon (talk) 04:41, 28 December 2024 (UTC)
- The ft.com and fnlondon.com articles can be read through ProQuest. Helpful Raccoon (talk) 02:34, 2 January 2025 (UTC)
- Keep - But initiate merge. There appears to be enough coverage for this to meet NCORP. We need information at WP:CORPDEPTH, and that could be discussed further, but I am convinced by Chabala's argument that this is at least as notable as the two companies that merged to create it, both of which retain pages. But both Fimat and Calyon Financial are stub articles which could also validly find themselves up for deletion. Moreover we usually treat former companies in the articles of their successor companies. What makes the most sense here, and is best for the reader, is to merge Fimat and Calyon Financial into this page. That requires that we keep this article and then initiate the merge, whether boldly or through a merge discussion. Sirfurboy🏄 (talk) 08:02, 2 January 2025 (UTC)
- I agree regarding merging those two articles into Newedge Group, I guess I didn't dig enough to realize Newedge Group meets WP:NCORP, my bad. I'll probably merge them in boldly some time semi-soonish along with @Helpful Raccoons sources or any others I might find, assuming no one else does first. Winderz IoT (talk) 15:50, 2 January 2025 (UTC)
- Winderz IoT: per WP:SKCRIT, where there are no delete or redirect !votes, if you explicitly withdraw your nomination, you (or anyone else) can speedily close this. ~Hydronium~Hydroxide~(Talk)~ 02:06, 3 January 2025 (UTC)
