fails WP:BIO. keep !voters need to actually demonstrate not notability beyond inherent notability. The one source provided although detailed is written by his daughter so cannot be considered independent of the subject. LibStar (talk) 14:52, 18 November 2016 (UTC)
- Keep - I have expanded out the references using further sources, including from The Canberra Times. I am aware there was media in The Australian and The Mercury but I have been unable to locate yet - these are referenced in Hutton's book The Legacy of Suez. Clare. - Keep. Published author, ambassador during Lebanese Civil War (amongst other significant postings). Seems pretty notable to me. The Drover's Wife (talk) 00:24, 19 November 2016 (UTC)

- Keep At time of nomination, article was a bit scant but has been expanded and referenced very well with sources other than relative's obituary. Notable author as well as ambassador. --Canley (talk) 04:22, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
- Comment, a major source for this article is an obit in the Sydney Morning Herald, although the smh is a good WP:RS (an ozzie NYT(?)), it is written by a relative, article states Hutton also wrote two books, WorldCat shows library holdings of thirty-two and two, is this a significant number for these sorts of books?, but also shows a review in Australian Journal of Political Science for one of them, a gsearch has not brought up any others. The CT articles appear to be trivial mentions, other references by Hutton, are they relevant for notablenesss? Coolabahapple (talk) 23:03, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
