This term isn't notable. There are many terms for police subdivisions, but they aren't all notable. Virtually a DICDEF. — Mr. Guye (talk) (contribs) 02:29, 30 July 2018 (UTC)

- Keep. Both this and police office satisfy GNG. There might be scope for merger with similar units, such as precinct or station, but this is obviously notable. James500 (talk) 00:38, 4 August 2018 (UTC)

- Delete per nom. It's too obscure to even be a redirect to police. —МандичкаYO 😜 04:13, 6 August 2018 (UTC)
- Redirect (without deletion) to Police or Police precinct with re-creation allowed. Right now, it's a dictionary definition, and I honestly don't expect that it will get better. I'm not sure that the topic itself is independently notable – Police precinct could easily house information about both ("otherwise known as" or similar verbiage) – but certainly it's not useful now. - Delete This doesn't actually refer to anything but is a descriptive phrase construction. In the absence of any sources that actually describe or discusses "police detachment" (there are plenty of sources that simply use the the phrase) this is obviously untenable. Chetsford (talk) 00:24, 14 August 2018 (UTC)
- Delete as WP:DICTDEF. Normally, I'd agree with a redirect to either Police or Police precinct, but the former doesn't even mention this, and the later only mentions it as a link back here. -- RoySmith (talk) 14:18, 21 August 2018 (UTC)
- Delete per nom as WP:DICTDEF. I cannot imagine someone putting this as a search term and there is no information in the article that needs preserving, no need for a merge or redirect. Ifnord (talk) 16:33, 21 August 2018 (UTC)
