- Reporter Magazine (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) (delete) – (View log)
Non-notable student publication lacking coverage in independant sources. All but one of the sources is published by the magazine itself or the university. The one that isn't makes reference to a 3rd place prize in a contest by Xerox. Fails WP:CORP SharkxFanSJ (talk) 18:58, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment I am having trouble finding reliable independent resources, surprisingly. If they can be found my opinion is to "keep", notify me on my talk page. I'm not ready to say "delete" on a college publication so well established, plenty of weekly college newspapers are notable. Also I'm not convinced WP:CORP is the correct way of looking at this. - Delete Most of the references presented are primary sources and I'm having a lot of problems finding reliable sources that even mention this magazine. The Zerox award is interesting but it's doesn't do much to establish notability here since the award is a marketing thing, for creative use of that company's products.--RadioFan (talk) 20:39, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Comment. Their about page says "A winner of numerous state and national awards, is highly-regarded as one of the nation’s most innovative college publications, respected for its high quality of writing, photography, illustration, and design", which is a good assertion of notability, but where are the secondary sources? I'm still looking. Fences and windows (talk) 02:41, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- A nice historical account of the magazine in the late 60s, in the "New Hampshire Comment":[1]. Blog post from yesterday (just pointing out for the odd coincidence in timing):[2]. 4th place in an award in 1997:[3]. Meh. If nobody can do better than this, this article is going south. - Delete per RadioFan. The problem is a lack of independent sourcing for this; if everything in the article was backed up, it'd be a shoo-in keep. If there's an article on student organizations in the university, it could be merged there. Stifle (talk) 13:01, 19 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete No independent sources. Hipocrite (talk) 04:47, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Merge to Rochester Institute of Technology#Campus life. Thanks for the idea, Stifle. Fences and windows (talk) 18:08, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
