PROD declined because "coverage exists" as 3 mentions in 2 sources. Keyes book is referring to shallow organization of content on a website, which is not what this article is about. Still contains reference to "ShallowWiki", "ShallowWeb Timeline" and "ShallowWeb Report Hub", which appear to be total fabrications by the LLM that produced this article. - Delete Grade-A, 100% pure LLM babastiki. Reminds me of when people asked chatbots to explain the meanings on nonexistent folksy sayings; this is similary made-up and transparently so. References are irrelevant; my own search finds "shallow web searching" (a web-crawling strategy) and a game map: [1], neither of which has anything to do with the supposed topic of this article. WeirdNAnnoyed (talk) 11:10, 6 August 2025 (UTC)
- delete as it has the LLM BS reek. Mangoe (talk) 11:45, 6 August 2025 (UTC)
- Delete: This seems to be a valid term [2], more than a few non-trivial mentions in Gbooks, but this version of the article, using LLM, isn't helpful. it would be too much work to re-validate the sourcing used, if it's even helpful. Oaktree b (talk) 16:01, 6 August 2025 (UTC)
- Delete Despite the article's assertion that the shallow web "exists between the surface web and the deep web", the few sources which actually use the term do so as a synonym for "surface web". E.g., "Public web integration services such as Google and Yahoo provide access to the “shallow web”, i.e. those sites that are reachable by a text-oriented crawler" [3]. Even the source that the article cites for its definition of "shallow web" uses it as an antonym for "deep web", and contains no mentions of "surface web" whatsoever. This article is actively deceptive. Expunge with prejudice. Stepwise Continuous Dysfunction (talk) 17:54, 6 August 2025 (UTC)
- Delete. Ref 1 an uncited research article. Ref 2 is a passing mention in a rarely cited book from 2007. Caleb Stanford (talk) 04:52, 9 August 2025 (UTC)
- Delete as LLM produced garbage without sourcing in in any WP:SIGCOV manner. Iljhgtn (talk) 00:05, 12 August 2025 (UTC)
