The result was soft delete. Based on minimal participation, this uncontroversial nomination is treated as an expired PROD (a.k.a. "soft deletion"). Editors can request the article's undeletion. Liz Read! Talk! 01:55, 13 August 2025 (UTC)

Per WP:REDUNDANT and possibly WP:NOTSTATS. There is significant overlap of this article's content with that already present in Solar System#Inner Solar System, Solar System#Trans-Neptunian region, and the respective main articles for each of the Solar System's circumstellar discs (Asteroid belt, Kuiper belt, Scattered disc, etc.). Beyond superficial descriptions of their origins and properties, a good portion of the article lists miscellaneous object populations and the distances of the planets and dwarf planets. - Comment: perhaps a merge of the 'Solar System belts' section into the 'Around the Solar System' section of Circumstellar disc would work? Praemonitus (talk) 02:01, 23 July 2025 (UTC)
- Perhaps, but there's really not much information to merge. The article has a brief section on formation, but this is already covered by Circumstellar disc#Stages. Perhaps we could briefly mention major dynamical sub-populations, but that's all I can think of that is viable for merging. ArkHyena (they/any) 02:43, 23 July 2025 (UTC)

- Comments: it's interesting, but sort of a synthesis of the Grand tack hypothesis and the Nice model. Bearian (talk) 07:09, 7 August 2025 (UTC)
- Delete - upon review, I think that this should be deleted based upon synthesis, although I repeat that it's quite interesting. Bearian (talk) 02:59, 9 August 2025 (UTC)
