Disagree with this proposal for deletion. On the notable point: the subject's most notable attribute is that he was the first foreigner in the Japanese Diet, which was covered by several news media sources as cited. Delete WP:BEFORE shows mostly articles that quote article subject rather than are about article subject. The Japan Times profile linked in the article is the one exception, and WP:GNG asks for multiple significant coverage. Eggishorn (talk) (contrib) 21:24, 26 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
